This a personal project; I wanted to create an illustration that represented my memories of growing up in Mexico City. Something prevalent in the 90s was the color and the style of the taxis. Mexico City was full of VMW Beatle Taxi Cabs, and they were a big part of the City. When I was young, they were yellow, but when I was a kid, they changed it to green.
The solution was simple, reflect my growing up nostalgia. I created the taxi most popular in Mexico City, a "Vocho." As a background, I used simple but very dynamic colors. The colors are CMYK, and they create a good contrast.
